I write about everyday people who face extraordinary challenge in a maelstrom of PLACE.
My new script tells the story of my friendship with a boy from Baltimore City -- an LGBTQ twist on "The Blind Side." I am finishing a first novel based on six years of work with celebrities at the United Nations. I produced and wrote a short for the UN starring MERYL STREEP during the Darfur crisis that won an Ad Council Award. Traveling around the world for the UN, including a hair-raising trip to Darfur with KITE RUNNER author Khalid Hosseini, I saw extraordinary scenes of suffering and survival. I have published extensively on politics and worked in Los Angeles for nine years as a writer, professionally represented (Judy Coppage, Geoffrey Sanford), although no projects were produced. My first film project, where I served as Associate Producer, was nominated for an Academy Award (The Story of Dr. Evelyn Hooker).
