NIDFF is a world-class, international film festival that celebrates the best of global and local filmmaking talent, with a spotlight on the region's rich cultural heritage. This extravaganza promises to dazzle audiences with:

- Short Films (up to 40 minutes)
- Feature Films (minimum 60 minutes)
- Documentary Shorts (up to 30 minutes)
- Documentary Features (minimum 31 minutes)
- Non-competitive screening for Short/Feature Films and Documentaries

- Special Categories:

- Northeast India Special Category: This category invites non-fiction films (up to 30 minutes) that showcase the rich cultural aspects of Northeast India. Filmmakers from around the world are eligible to participate in this category, provided their films focus on Northeast India's cultural heritage.

- Northeast Indian Filmmakers' Pavilion: This category is exclusively dedicated to Northeast Indian filmmakers, providing a platform for them to showcase their stories and cultures. The category invites fiction and non-fiction films (up to 40 minutes) made in indigenous languages, highlighting the unique aspects of Northeast India.

- INTERNATIONAL Events:
- Masterclasses by global industry experts
- Panel discussions with renowned National and International filmmakers
- Showcase of local and global films
- Cultural exchange through film tourism

Objectives:
- Conserve the cultural heritage of Northeast India's tribes and communities
- Promote film tourism in the region
- Provide a platform for emerging talent to connect with industry professionals and film enthusiasts

● Films in any language can be submitted (subtitle is compulsory for non-English entries)
● Multiple entries from a single participant can be submitted
● We accept YouTube, Google Drive, Vimeo & Dropbox links
● Jury decision will be final
● Shortlisted entries will be selected for official competition, selection is subject to Jury decision
● All information regarding the festival including selection and awards will be provided on the official website and Facebook page
● Films selected for final round will be screened
● Entry fees are payable through FilmFreeway payment systems and are non-refundable.
● Festival reserves the right to determine eligibility of any work submitted.
● Decision of the Festival committee will be final and binding
● Festival reserves the right to use posters and images of submitted films for promotional activities of the festival
