Veríssimo Produções was created by Brazilian filmmaker Naji Sidki, after attending a film course held at New York University-NYU. Naji Sidki, also specialized in photography - Maine Media Workshops.
Land of Gypsies is his debut feature film as a director. The project was awarded the prestigious PRODECINE 1-2016 FSA grant and will be distributed nationally by Pandora Films, which distributed important films such as "El secreto de sus ojos" winner of the Oscar for best foreign film.
At the Festival de Brasília, 2015, the short documentary "Afonso é uma Brazza" directed, scripted and produced by Naji Sidki was awarded at the Brasília Festival with the Best Film, Popular Jury and Best Edition Awards. At the Short Brasília Festival received the ABCV and Cine Cult awards. It was one of the Brazilian films selected for the Festival Internacional del Nuevo Cine Latinoamericano-CUBA; participated in the São Paulo International Short Film Festival, in the BRAFFTV - Brazilian Film & TV Festival of Toronto. In 2019, produced and directed the photography of the feature film DULCINA. The film was awarded at the Brasília Festival, Best Film by the Official Jury and Best Film by the Juri Popular.
Naji Sidki also works as a director of photography and producer.
