DESCRIPCION DEL FESTIVAL (ENGLISH VERSION BELOW)
El MUMA FEST Festival Internacional Audiovisual de Mujeres y LBTTIQ de Patagonia se llevará adelante el viernes 22 y sábado 23 de mayo de 2026 de manera presencial en la localidad de El Hoyo, provincia de Chubut, Argentina. Las proyecciones tendrán lugar en el Auditorio de la Casa de la Cultura, ubicado en la esquina Los Ciruelos & Los Guindos.
Sólo se admiten contenidos audiovisuales dirigidos por Mujeres, Lesbianxs, Travestis, Trans, Bisexuales, Intersexuales y No Binaries.
Este año presentamos por primera vez la sección:
- Muestra No Competitiva de Series Argentinas.
Volvemos a presentar las secciones:
- Competencia Internacional de Largometrajes
- Competencia Internacional de Cortometrajes
- Competencia Patagónica (Cortometrajes y Largometrajes) realizados en Rio Negro, Neuquén, Chubut, Santa Cruz y Tierra del Fuego, (Argentina). En Los Lagos, Aysén, Magallanes (Chile).
Se admite todo tipo de géneros audiovisuales.
OBJETIVOS DEL FESTIVAL
- Conocer y reconocer las narrativas de mujeres y disidencias de todo el mundo y ponerlas en diálogo con el público de nuestra región patagónica.
- Fortalecer los lazos entre compañías distribuidoras, productoras y realizadoras de la Patagonia.
- Aportar herramientas para la formación profesional que contribuyan a la inserción laboral de las mujeres y disidencias de la región patagónica.
- Generar un espacio de intercambio con redes de mujeres del audiovisual de otros puntos de Latinoamérica y el mundo.

DESCRIPTION OF THE FESTIVAL
The MUMA FEST International Women 's and LBTTIQ Audiovisual Festival of Patagonia will take place on Friday May 22nd and Saturday May 23th, 2026 in the town of El Hoyo, province of Chubut, Argentina. The screenings will take place at the Casa de la Cultura Auditorium, located at the corner of Los Ciruelos & Los Guindos.
Only content directed by Women, Lesbixns, Transvestites, Trans, Bisexuals, Intersexuals and Non Binaries will be admitted.
MUMA Fest will have the following sections:
- Non competitive Argentinian Series
- International Feature Film Competition
- International Short Film Competition
- Argentine-Chilean Patagonian Competition (Short and Feature Films).
All types of audiovisual genres are admitted.
OBJECTIVES OF THE FESTIVAL
- To know and recognize the narratives of women and dissidents from all over the world and to put them in dialogue with the Patagonian public.
- Strengthen the ties between distribution companies, producers and filmmakers of Patagonia.
- To provide tools for professional training that contribute to the labor insertion of women and dissidents from the Patagonian region.
- To generate a space for exchange with women's audiovisual networks from other parts of Latin America and the world.

REGLAMENTO MUMA FEST 2026 (ENGLISH VERSION BELOW)
ARTÍCULO 1º
Realizado por la Red de Mujeres y Disidencias de la Patagonia Argentina, parte de la RED FAP (Red de Festivales Audiovisuales de la Patagonia), avalado por el Instituto Nacional de Cine y Artes Audiovisuales (INCAA), la edición 2026 del Festival Audiovisual MUMA PATAGONIA se llevará a cabo de manera presencial el viernes 22 y sábado 23 de mayo de 2026 de manera presencial en la localidad de El Hoyo, en la provincia de Chubut, Argentina. En el Auditorio de la Casa de la Cultura, en la esquina Los Ciruelos & Los Guindos.
Este festival tiene como objetivo fortalecer los lazos entre compañías distribuidoras, productoras y realizadoras de la Patagonia, conocer y reconocer las narrativas de mujeres y disidencias de todo el mundo y ponerlas en diálogo con el público, aportar herramientas para la formación profesional con perspectiva de género que contribuyan a la inserción laboral de las mujeres y disidencias de la región patagónica y generar un espacio de intercambio con redes de mujeres del audiovisual de otros puntos de Latinoamérica y el mundo.
ARTÍCULO 2º
La inscripción de películas en todas las secciones de COMPETENCIA para contenidos argentinos será gratuita, para concretarlo deberán solicitar un código de 100% de descuento por email al mumafestpatagonia@gmail.com. En caso de no solicitarlo, la organización del festival no garantiza la devolución del importe de inscripción.
A las producciones extranjeras en competencias INTERNACIONALES se le cobrará un valor de acuerdo con el territorio de origen.
En el caso de la sección PATAGONICA, la inscripción será gratuita y es exclusivamente para films (cortos y largometrajes) realizados en La Pampa, Rio Negro, Neuquén, Chubut, Santa Cruz y Tierra del Fuego, (Argentina). En Los Lagos, Aysén, Magallanes (Chile).
ARTÍCULO 3º
La edición 2026 del Festival Audiovisual MUMA PATAGONIA incluirá:
Competencia internacional de largometrajes,
Competencia internacional de cortometrajes,
Competencia de films Patagónicos (largometrajes y cortometrajes)
Este año contaremos por primera vez con una Sección No Competitiva Virtual de Series Argentinas
ARTÍCULO 4º
Cada película seleccionada tendrá 1 proyección presencial. Una vez comunicada por el Festival la selección de la película su productorx o representante deberá enviar los materiales solicitados que se utilizarán para el catálogo digital, la página web, la prensa, la publicidad y la difusión de la película en el Festival. Las películas se presentarán en idioma original, subtituladas al español si estuviesen en idioma extranjero.
Es condición para la participación en el MUMA FEST que el film cuente con subtítulos
en español, en caso de que sea necesario el Festival puede ofrecer arancelado el servicio de subtitulado
ARTÍCULO 5º
Para presentar una película a la selección del Festival, es necesario completar los pasos detallados a continuación:
a) Inscribirse dando de alta el film en alguna de las siguientes plataformas

b) Enviar un link de descarga de la Copia de proyección: un archivo en alta definición de calidad y en caso de que el film esté hablado en una lengua extranjera deberá contar con subtitulado en español.

ARTÍCULO 6º
El Comité de Selección conformado por integrantes de Mujeres Audiovisuales de la Patagonia recomendará a las autoridades del Festival las películas que corresponde elegir para formar parte de esta edición. Las autoridades decidirán en base a esa propuesta, seleccionando las obras que responden al objetivo del Festival y revisten valores artísticos relevantes y/o renovadores, con el fin de conformar una Sección Oficial compatible con los requerimientos de un Festival Internacional Competitivo.
ARTÍCULO 7º
Las organizadoras del festival designarán a lxs integrantes de lxs juradxs de cada sección. Las decisiones se tomarán por mayoría absoluta. No podrá ser juradx quien tenga cualquier tipo de interés en la producción o explotación de una película en concurso. Lxs miembrxs del Jurado se comprometen firmemente a no expresar públicamente sus opiniones respecto de las películas sometidas a su consideración antes de la proclamación oficial de los premios.
ARTÍCULO 8º
COMPETENCIA INTERNACIONAL DE LARGOMETRAJES
Participan películas nacionales e internacionales de largometraje de cualquier género. Las producciones deben haber sido terminadas entre 2025 y el corriente año durante los 12 (doce) meses anteriores a las fechas del inicio del Festival.
Las copias a proyectarse deben tener obligatoriamente subtítulos en español si fueran habladas en otros idiomas.
El Jurado podrá otorgar hasta 2 (dos) Menciones Especiales, indicando la motivación que hace merecedoras de esas menciones a quienes las obtengan. Ninguna película podrá recibir más de 2 (dos) premios, así como ningún premio podrá ser declarado desierto.
El premio consta de la entrega de un diploma y la difusión del film en localidades patagónicas y del mundo siendo parte de la gira MUMA FEST 2026/2027.
ARTÍCULO 9º
COMPETENCIA INTERNACIONAL DE CORTOMETRAJES
Participan películas nacionales e internacionales de cortometrajes de cualquier género que deben haber sido terminadas durante los 12 (doce) meses anteriores a las fechas del inicio del Festival.
Las copias a proyectarse deben tener obligatoriamente subtítulos en español si fueran habladas en otros idiomas.
Los cortometrajes no podrán superar los 30 (treinta) minutos, incluyendo títulos de créditos.
El jurado otorgará el premio al Mejor Cortometraje de la Competencia, que no podrá ser declarado desierto. Podrá, asimismo, realizar hasta 2 (dos) Menciones Especiales.
El premio consta de la entrega de un diploma y la difusión del film en localidades patagónicas y del mundo siendo parte de la gira MUMA FEST 2026/2027.
ARTÍCULO 10º
COMPETENCIA PATAGÓNICA
Participan largometrajes y cortometrajes de directoras patagónicas que deben haber sido terminadas durante los 12 (doce) meses anteriores a las fechas del inicio del Festival. Son films realizados en Rio Negro, Neuquén, Chubut, Santa Cruz y Tierra del Fuego, (Argentina). En Los Lagos, Aysén, Magallanes (Chile).
Las copias a proyectarse deben tener obligatoriamente subtítulos en español si fueran habladas en otros idiomas.
Los cortometrajes no podrán superar los 30 (treinta) minutos, incluyendo títulos de créditos.
El jurado otorgará el premio a la Mejor pieza audiovisual PATAGÓNICA, que no podrá ser declarado desierto. Podrá, asimismo, realizar hasta 2 (dos) Menciones Especiales.
El premio consta de la entrega de un diploma y la difusión del film en localidades patagónicas y del mundo siendo parte de la gira MUMA FEST 2026/2027.
ARTÍCULO 11º
MUESTRA ONLINE NO COMPETITIVA DE SERIES ARGENTINAS
Participan series realizadas en todos los territorios de la República Argentina que deben haber sido terminadas a partir de enero de 2024. Todos los géneros audiovisuales, temáticas, duraciones y cantidades de los capítulos son bienvenidos. Deben haber sido realizadas por un equipo de guion, realización y producción encabezado por Mujeres, Lesbianxs, Travestis, Trans, Bisexuales, Intersexuales y No Binaries.
La participación de la serie en el MUMA FEST consistirá en
- Proyección presencial del tráiler de la serie en el Auditorio de la Casa de la Cultura, de El Hoyo, provincia de Chubut, Argentina.
- Proyección virtual de solo 1 (un) capítulo de la serie. El capítulo será subido en nuestro canal de YouTube, publicitado en nuestras redes sociales, como parte de la programación 2026 del Muma Fest.
- El capítulo permanecerá en nuestra plataforma por un tiempo máximo de una semana.
Desde las comunicaciones y redes sociales del Muma Fest se facilitará el acceso a la totalidad de la serie a partir de los links o bien indicaciones que la productora/distribuidora que tenga los derechos de exhibición considere pertinente.
Las copias a proyectarse deben tener obligatoriamente subtítulos en español si fueran habladas en otros idiomas.
ARTÍCULO 12º
Una vez seleccionada una película, no podrá ser retirada del Festival.
Lxs productorxs y distribuidorxs de aquellas películas que integran las Competencias se comprometen a incluir en toda su publicidad y material de prensa la frase “Selección Oficial del Festival Audiovisual MUMA FEST”, utilizando los laureles oficiales del Festival.
Lxs productorxs y distribuidorxs de aquellas películas que obtengan premios se comprometen a destacarlos en toda su publicidad y material de prensa, utilizando los laureles oficiales del Festival.
La gráfica de los laureles oficiales serán enviados vía mail para ser utilizados.

ARTICLE 1
Organized by the Network of Women and Dissidents of Argentine Patagonia, part of RED FAP (Patagonia Audiovisual Festival Network), endorsed by the National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts (INCAA), the 2026 edition of the MUMA PATAGONIA Audiovisual Festival will take place in person on Friday, May 22, and Saturday, May 23, 2026, in the town of El Hoyo, in the province of Chubut, Argentina. In the Auditorium of the Casa de la Cultura, on the corner of Los Ciruelos & Los Guindos.
This festival aims to strengthen ties between distribution companies, producers, and filmmakers in Patagonia, to learn about and recognize the narratives of women and dissidents from around the world and bring them into dialogue with the public, to provide tools for professional training with a gender perspective that contribute to the employment of women and dissidents in the Patagonian region, and to create a space for exchange with networks of women in the audiovisual industry from other parts of Latin America and the world.
ARTICLE 2
The registration of films in all COMPETITION sections for Argentine content will be free of charge. To do so, you must request a 100% discount code by email at mumafestpatagonia@gmail.com. If you do not request it, the festival organization does not guarantee the refund of the registration fee.
Foreign productions in INTERNATIONAL competitions will be charged a fee according to their territory of origin.
In the case of the PATAGONICA section, registration will be free and exclusively for films (short and feature films) made in La Pampa, Rio Negro, Neuquén, Chubut, Santa Cruz, and Tierra del Fuego (Argentina). In Los Lagos, Aysén, Magallanes (Chile).
ARTICLE 3
The 2026 edition of the MUMA PATAGONIA Audiovisual Festival will include:
International feature film competition,
International short film competition,
Patagonian film competition (feature films and short films)
This year, for the first time, we will have a non-competitive virtual section for Argentine series.
ARTICLE 4
Each selected film will have one in-person screening. Once the Festival has communicated the selection of the film, its producer or representative must send the requested materials that will be used for the digital catalog, the website, the press, advertising, and the promotion of the film at the Festival. Films will be presented in their original language, with Spanish subtitles if they are in a foreign language.
It is a condition for participation in MUMA FEST that the film has Spanish subtitles.
If necessary, the Festival can offer a paid subtitling service.
ARTICLE 5
To submit a film for selection at the Festival, the following steps must be completed:
a) Register by submitting the film on one of the following platforms:

b) Send a download link for the screening copy: a high-definition file. If the film is in a foreign language, it must have Spanish subtitles.

ARTICLE 6
The Selection Committee, made up of members of Mujeres Audiovisuales de la Patagonia, will recommend to the Festival authorities the films to be selected for this edition. The authorities will decide on the basis of this proposal, selecting works that meet the Festival's objectives and have relevant and/or innovative artistic value, in order to form an Official Section compatible with the requirements of a Competitive International Festival.
ARTICLE 7
The festival organizers will appoint the members of the juries for each section. Decisions will be made by absolute majority. Anyone with any kind of interest in the production or exploitation of a film in competition may not be a member of the jury. The members of the jury firmly undertake not to publicly express their opinions on the films submitted for their consideration before the official announcement of the awards.
ARTICLE 8
INTERNATIONAL FEATURE FILM COMPETITION
National and international feature films of any genre may participate. Productions must have been completed between 2025 and the current year during the 12 (twelve) months prior to the start dates of the Festival.
Copies to be screened must have Spanish subtitles if they are in other languages.
The Jury may award up to two (2) Special Mentions, indicating the reasons why those receiving them deserve such mentions. No film may receive more than two (2) awards, and no award may be declared void.
The prize consists of the awarding of a diploma and the screening of the film in locations in Patagonia and around the world as part of the MUMA FEST 2026/2027 tour.
ARTICLE 9
INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM COMPETITION
National and international short films of any genre that must have been completed within the 12 (twelve) months prior to the start dates of the Festival are eligible to participate.
Copies to be screened must have Spanish subtitles if they are in other languages.
Short films may not exceed 30 (thirty) minutes, including credits.
The jury will award the prize for Best Short Film in the Competition, which may not be declared void. It may also award up to 2 (two) Special Mentions.
The prize consists of a diploma and the screening of the film in Patagonian locations and around the world as part of the MUMA FEST 2026/2027 tour.
ARTICLE 10
PATAGONIAN COMPETITION
Feature films and short films by Patagonian directors that must have been completed during the 12 (twelve) months prior to the start dates of the Festival are eligible to participate. These are films made in Rio Negro, Neuquén, Chubut, Santa Cruz, and Tierra del Fuego (Argentina) and in Los Lagos, Aysén, and Magallanes (Chile).
Copies to be screened must have Spanish subtitles if they are in other languages.
Short films may not exceed 30 (thirty) minutes, including credits.
The jury will award the prize for Best PATAGONIAN Audiovisual Work, which cannot be declared void. It may also award up to two (2) Special Mentions.
The prize consists of a diploma and the screening of the film in locations in Patagonia and around the world as part of the MUMA FEST 2026/2027 tour.
ARTICLE 11
NON-COMPETITIVE ONLINE EXHIBITION OF ARGENTINE SERIES
Series produced in all territories of the Argentine Republic that must have been completed as of January 2024 are eligible to participate. All audiovisual genres, themes, durations, and number of episodes are welcome. They must have been produced by a scriptwriting, directing, and production team led by women, lesbians, transvestites, trans, bisexual, intersex, and non-binary individuals.
The series' participation in MUMA FEST will consist of
- In-person screening of the series trailer at the Auditorium of the Casa de la Cultura, in El Hoyo, province of Chubut, Argentina.
- Virtual screening of only one (1) episode of the series. The episode will be uploaded to our YouTube channel and advertised on our social media as part of the 2026 Muma Fest program.
- The episode will remain on our platform for a maximum of one week.
Muma Fest's communications and social media will provide access to the entire series through links or instructions deemed appropriate by the production company/distributor that holds the exhibition rights.
Copies to be screened must have Spanish subtitles if they are spoken in other languages.
ARTICLE 12
Once a film has been selected, it cannot be withdrawn from the Festival.
The producers and distributors of the films participating in the Competitions undertake to include the phrase “Official Selection of the MUMA FEST Audiovisual Festival” in all their advertising and press material, using the official laurels of the Festival.
The producers and distributors of films that win awards agree to highlight them in all their advertising and press material, using the official Festival laurels.
The graphic design of the official laurels will be sent by email for use.
