Festival «Film of the new Generation» is a two-part festival consisting of the international competition "A Movie in 5 Days" and "Film of the New Generation".

AGE LIMIT: UNDER 35 YEARS OLD (INCLUSIVE)

The competition "A Movie in 5 Days" will be held from September 10 to 15, 2022. The Festival will be held from September 16 to September 21, 2022 as part of the Tashkent International Film Festival.

During the competition the contestants will make short films about Uzbekistan.
The expenses for the trip, including a visa, flight, accommodation in a hotel room, trips within Uzbekistan to the location and back, and the costs of three meals a day for the film crew, are provided by the organizing committee.

One of the criteria for participation in the competition is to send the organizers the previous work. The films included in the form will also take part in the International Youth Film Festival «Film of the New Generation».

Within the framework of the Film Festival, films which previously received awards in other film festivals will be shown by the directors participating in the «A Movie in 5 Days» competition.

The Festival is held by the Agency of Cinematography of Uzbekistan, the State Unitary Enterprise «Yoshlik Kinostudiyasi» with the support of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the World Society for the Study, Preservation and Popularization of the Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan.

All the participants who have submitted an application according to the form must be no older than 35 years.
The films included in the form will also take part in the International Youth Film Festival «Film of the New Generation».
Each participant in the competition must have their own medical insurance.
The decision of the selection committee cannot be challenged.
The selected teams will receive an invitation no later than 01.08.2022.
Scripts and films must meet the requirements established by the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, including restrictions on the demonstration of tobacco smoking and the use of profanity, the prohibition of propaganda or agitation that incites social, racial, national, or religious hatred, and enmity, propaganda of extremist activities and the use of extremist materials, pornography.
The contest entries should be submitted in the original language with Russian and/or English subtitles.
The duration of the film for the festival can not exceed 30 minutes.
The duration of the film, taken in Uzbekistan can not exceed 15 minutes.
A participant can submit one application for one team.
Participation in the Project is free of charge.
The exclusive copyright for films on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan belongs to the Agency of Cinematography of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

No more than 30 teams are invited to participate in the Project.
The Organizing Committee reserves the right to set the topic and location for each participant.

Criteria for evaluating films:
1. Compliance with the theme of the Film Festival;
2. The originality of the idea and the quality of execution;
3. The originality of the script;
4. The relevance of the storyline;
5. The degree of topic coverage;
6. The actors' play, their attitude to the topic of the video;
7. Creativity of the idea implementation;
8. The presence of the concept of the video, its social orientation;
9. Socially responsible position of the authors;
10. Reliability of facts, expressiveness and accuracy of their presentation;
11. Quality of shooting and editing;
12. Sound quality.
