[English below] Les Rencontres Montagnes et Sciences programment des films documentaires d'aventure et de découverte réalisés dans les régions montagneuses et polaires. Nous présentons au public des films sur les recherches scientifiques en cours, la technologie, l'histoire et les sciences sociales, à un niveau accessible au plus grand nombre.

Le festival commence à Grenoble, puis nous partons en tournée dans plus de 10 villes de France, (principalement en Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes). Nombre de spectateurs en 2024 : +12000.

Mountains and Sciences film festival programs adventure and discovery documenraty films developping in mountaneous and polar regions. We bring to the public films about current research, technology, history and social studies, at a level that is accessible to the widest audience.

The festival starts in Grenoble and then more than 10 cities visited in France, (mostly Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes). Attendies : +12000.

Rules & Terms

SEULS les films ayant trait aux sciences, aux montagnes et aux régions polaires sont éligibles. Tout autre sujet sera immédiatement rejeté.

En inscrivant un film au festival, les réalisateurs acceptent que leurs films, s'ils sont sélectionnés, soient programmés à certaines ou à toutes les dates de la manifestation.
La sélection des films est effectuée uniquement par les organisateurs (Association Montagnes et Sciences). Les dates et horaires de la manifestation sont fixés exclusivement par l'organisateur.
Tous les films sélectionnés reçoivent une rétribution financière (à l'exception des films institutionnels).

When entering a film to the festival, filmmakers accepts that their films, if selected, will be programmed to some or all the dates of the show.
The program selection is performed solely by the organizers (Association Montagnes et Sciences). The dates and times of the show are solely fixed by the organizer.
All selected films receive a financial retribution (except for institutional ones).

    Very interesting festival reaching a numerous public in a dozen French cities. The exchange with the young students at the screenings for schools was a great experience.

    Great initiative, unfortunately the festival had to be cancelled because of the Covid. Hope it will be able to get going soon! Congratulation to a great team preparing all this!
