WHY A MOUNTAIN FILM FESTIVAL?

Promotion of mountain environment:
Mountain film festivals showcase the beauty of mountainous areas through cinematic stories. This can raise awareness about the importance of preserving the mountain environment and encourage people to behave more sustainably towards nature.

Education about mountain activities:
Films shown at festivals often explore various mountain activities such as hiking, climbing, skiing, etc. This can serve as an educational tool for people interested in these activities or wanting to learn more about mountain living.

Cultural diversity:
Films at the festival can come from different parts of the world, representing diverse cultures and traditions associated with mountains. This contributes to global understanding and broadens the horizons of viewers.

Encouragement of artistic expression:
Festivals provide a platform for artists, directors, and producers to express their art and share their stories. This can stimulate the development of the film industry and create new perspectives within the genre.

Community gathering:
Mountain film festivals often attract people who share similar interests. This can result in the creation of a community of mountain enthusiasts, where people can share experiences, information, and a passion for nature.

Tourism and economic impact:
Festivals can attract visitors from different regions and even from other countries, promoting tourism and contributing to the local economy. This economic boost can have a positive impact on the hospitality sector, trade, and services in the festival area.

Inspiration and motivation:
Watching films about mountains can provide viewers with inspiration and motivation to explore nature, face challenges, and live an active life. This can have a positive impact on individuals and the community as a whole.

Mountain film festivals are not just cultural events but also an opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of mountainous areas and to promote love
