We want to manifest the power of visual storytelling to unleash positive and bring back action for our natural world. We need authentic, moving and original stories to address different audiences. Nature depends on it.
It is the right time to know your story, it is the right time to watch those moving scenes, it is the right time to listen to your work, the right time to join in the new video contest, MontPhoto’s Multimedia Storytelling.



CATEGORIES:


VM. MOUNTAIN STORIES
Pieces of action, adventure, sports or challenges in the mountains or the natural environment, such as mountaineering, expeditions, climbing, hiking, caving, skiing, sport climbing, paragliding, canyoning, kayaking, rafting, adventure, MTB or extreme sports.

VN. NATURE STORIES
Audiovisual pieces that tell us a story linked to nature, with its conservation, observation, knowledge or admiration. Stories with any type of interaction with human being are accepted.

Awards & Prizes

1st Prize for the winners in each video category: € 500 and Diploma.
Honorable Mentions for each video category: Diploma

All winners will receive an invitation to the Awards Ceremony with free admission to the Festival, as well as a hotel night stay in a double room with breakfast included.

Rules & Terms

The contest is open to professional or amateur works from around the world. Members or employees of MontPhoto’s organization, trustees, workers and sponsors of the contest, members of the jury and their families may not participate; or those who have taken part in any process of the works presented.
Each entrant can submit one video in each category.

It is mandatory to formalize the registration on the web www.montphoto.com

The maximum length of the video is 15 minutes, including the credits lines.
All entries must have subtitle files in English.

For the selection of the pieces you must send us the viewing links and you can do that when going through the registration on the web. Also you can always point out the link directly.

The selected videos for the final stage must be provided in high res format and can be done in any of these modes:
- One DCP copy (with non-embedded subtitles)
- Usual digital file (mov or mp3) encoded in .h264 and with a resolution equal to or greater than full HD, 1080p.

Videos must be produced within the last four years (not before January 1st, 2017).
Each video must contain the registration completed form with all the requested information and through the web. 


• Contest registration closes: May 31th, 2022 at 23:59 hours
• Verdicts: June-July 2022.
• Request for the finalist videos to upload them: August 1rst.
• Presentation and awards ceremony in Lloret de Mar: October 8th to 9th, 2022.

The Gala presentation and awards ceremony will take place on October 8th, 2022 in Lloret de Mar at the Municipal Theater. The event will be part of MontPhoto FEST 2022 and can be followed through the web and social media.

MontPhoto will contact all the finalists to confirm their attendance at the awards ceremony on October 2nd in Lloret de Mar. The winners will be revealed at the theater.

Optionally, as a first edition, the organization can develop a public screening of the videos selected in the final phase, if a good number of them are received and the conditions allow it. These videos would also be selected by the evaluating jury and would be included in MontPhoto FEST of this edition.
