Registration to the Festival is free and will commence on March 1st 2023. All participants are required to fill out a registration Form available on the FilmFreeway online platform.
Registrations close on June 15th 2023.
The registered film makers have to "compose" images to accompany one of the 10 musical pieces proposed by the Festival. See link below:

PRODUCTION
a) The participants are free to choose their entry theme.
b) Each entry can exceed by no more than 1 minute the choosen track (credits included).
c) Entries can include repertoire images in the final editing for a maximum duration of 1 minute.
d) Music cannot be used as a background to any audible dialogue.
e) It is not possible to insert mute pauses, additional sounds, or white noises to the selected track.
SELECTION
The selection takes place at the unquestionable judgment of the Festival management.
The list of selected films will be published before the event starts and will be available on the following link:

All members will be notified of their official selection by June 22nd 2023 via email.
The authors and/or productions of the selected entries, contacted in time, are required to send:
▪ Movie files
▪ English Synopsis of the film (minimum 50 words maximum 150).
▪ Director’s Biography (up to 100 words).
▪ 3 frames from the movie
▪ A photo of the director
Files must be sent via file sharing sites (e.g. dropbox, wetransfer, 4shared, etc.).
The work will not be returned and will become part of the Festival archive.
The authors, productions and/or whoever owns the rights of the selected works authorize their projection during the MONK FILM FESTIVAL event, as well as the diffusion by any means of extracts of the selected works for promotional purposes (up to 30 seconds).
The selected entries will be screened on July 8th 2023 at Tenuta S. Michele in Santa Venerina (Sicily) as part of the Summer Jazz Review organized by the MONK JAZZ CLUB.
RESPONSIBILITY
All authors and/or producers submitting materials to the Festival release the Algos Association from any responsibility or demands by anyone who took part in their entry.
By presenting his film at the festival, the author/producer also DECLARES – to have read and fully accepts the terms and conditions of the MONK JAZZ FESTIVAL - MUSIC TO WATCH
