Mohammad Rakibul Hasan is a Bangladeshi-born multifaceted practitioner deeply intertwined with photography, humanitarian filmmaking, and visual arts. He is recognized as a committed soul in the global arena of photography and filmmaking, dedicating over two decades to capturing the essence of pressing human rights, social development, political, environmental, and spiritual issues. Hasan holds a One-Year Certificate in Creative Practices from the International Center of Photography (ICP) in New York City, a BA (Honors) in Photography and a Postgraduate Certificate in Photography from Falmouth University in the United Kingdom, and an Undergraduate Certificate in Art History and Philosophy from Oxford University. He also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Photojournalism from Ateneo de Manila University in the Philippines and a Film and Video Production degree from UBS Film School at the University of Sydney. He has participated in numerous masterclasses and workshops in filmmaking at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). Hasan's commitment to humanitarian storytelling has garnered international acclaim and numerous awards, including the Lucie Award, One World Media Awards, Human Rights Press Award, Allard Photography Prize, and PX3 Prix de la Photographie, along with over two hundred other awards and hundreds of exhibitions in the international arena. These exhibitions include Photo Basel, Shanghai Photo Festival, NordArt Festival, Berlin Photo Festival, Belgrade Photo Month Festival, and the Indian Photo Festival. His films have been screened globally in international film festivals. In addition to his filmmaking and photography endeavors, Mohammad Rakibul Hasan serves as a visual journalist for renowned agencies like ZUMA Press, Redux Pictures, Inter Press Service (IPS), and the Thomson Reuters Foundation. Hasan's artistry is recognized and supported by galleries and organizations worldwide, with his works being represented by the °CLAIR Galerie in Switzerland. He is a distinguished Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Fellow and has graced the TEDx stage as a speaker. In 2022, he embarked on an Oxford Climate Journalism Network (OCJN) fellowship at the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism at the University of Oxford.
