Mohamed Reda is an emerging filmmaker and visual artist based in Alexandria, Egypt. A graduate of the Fine Arts program at Pharos University, he developed his skills through dedicated self-learning and a passion for storytelling across visual mediums.
During his college years, Mohamed contributed to several graduation films by fellow students—taking on roles such as assistant director, storyboard artist, background designer, and illustrator. These experiences deepened his understanding of the collaborative nature of filmmaking and honed his visual storytelling abilities.
His latest short film, Stone Soup, draws inspiration from folk tales to reflect on social behaviors such as greed and hatred. The film is a creative attempt to reimagine traditional narratives in a way that encourages empathy and collective responsibility within modern society.
Mohamed’s work combines his fine arts background with a growing cinematic voice, aiming to challenge norms and spark dialogue through meaningful visual stories.
