Dr. Miriam Russell taught college writing courses for 15 years with Empire State College's Center for Distance Learning and now works as an editor, screenwriter, and memoir writer. Her memoir, "Suddenly Single: Life After Death," was published in 2017 by Northshire Books and is available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Smashwords. Her screenplay, "Life After Death," won the LA Independent Women's Film Award in Dec. 2022, and her short screenplay "Sam's Search" was awarded the Reno-Tahoe Screenplay Award in Feb. 2022. She was also nominated for the Toronto Indie Shorts in Oct. 2022 and received an Honorable Mention from the Santa Barbara Screenplay Awards for Diverse Writers.
