Mikhail Saburov, a writer and director based in Los Angeles, has gained recognition for his award-winning short films, which enjoy widespread international distribution. His short film BOUND made its debut at the prestigious, Oscar-qualifying Rhode Island International Film Festival. In 2022, Mikhail's feature screenplay, SILVER, reached the quarter-finals of the esteemed Academy Nicholl Fellowship and Austin Film Festival.
With a unique upbringing in Yekaterinburg, Russia, as the child of a homicide detective, Mikhail aspires to captivate audiences by transporting them to realms that are simultaneously recognizable and foreign, challenging them to explore the depths of human experience while examining the gray areas that often exist between right and wrong.
