Mike Talplacido is a Podcast host and writer. Originally from the Philippines, he is the host of KISS MY MIKE, a podcast show that features conversations about sexual and racial identity, Pop Culture, and advocacies that aim to increase visibility of queer Filipino-Americans in mainstream media and Entertainment.

Mike is also the author of KISS MY MIKE, a memoir about navigating the world of being a gay Filipino immigrant in America, which he self-published in 2021. It tells the story of how a young boy from the Philippines, who grew up obsessing about Pop Culture, went through a journey of self-discovery, rejection, and acceptance.
Mike’s other writings have also been published by Moments Between and Queer Southeast Asia.

Lastly, Mike is an aspiring screenwriter. He wrote a script for a full-length feature film called, “The Perfect Couple,” a romantic comedy about family and the expectations imposed upon children, especially of immigrant parents, to be perfect.
