Mié Maeda was born and raised in Harajyuku, Tokyo, one of the centre place of Japanese youth culture and fashion trends. Interested in art and electrical technology from a young age, Mié was fascinated by fusing tecnology and art-indeed, When she was a university student, Mie produced and sold glowing nightclub accessories that actually functioned with LEDs and other electronic components and gained a certain number of fans.

As an editorial writer in Japan, she was mainly passionate about Tokyo's underground, trend information, art, beauty, lifestyle and other topics in print and digital media. To further pursue the art of helping people enjoy their days, she moved to Australia to study IT, and after discovering the allure and potential of digital video editing, she went on to study film production at the University of Sydney. She is currently working as a producer with the university's film production team on A DATE WITH DISTINY, a short drama about the inner conflicts and emotions of men and women.
