Michael J Volpe is a former business journalist and high-ranking Federal government official. He has won numerous film festival screenplay awards co-writing with his son, Andrew Volpe. Andrew, a Producer/Director, is an Arlington, VA resident and graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond (BFA/Kinetic Imaging). He works for a Virginia-based film and marketing company and has begun his own company found at www.crookedfoxesproductions.com. He gives weekly commentary on films, movies and entertainment (@crookedfoxes_films). His film, The Free Agent Fan, has won multiple industry awards. His screenplay by the same name, co-authored with his father, won the Jury Award/Best Screenplay, at the 2019 Northern Virginia International Film & Music Festival and the Grand Prize in the Hollywood Screenplay Contest. Andrew's pet adoption PSA, Cat Scratch Fever (The Cat Video), made with his brother, Ross (DJ Throdown) Volpe, and their cat, Houdini, has also won numerous domestic and international film festivals.
