Michael Farris Smith is an acclaimed novelist and screenwriter, whose books have appeared on Best of the Year lists with Esquire, Oprah Magazine, Book Riot, and numerous others, with The New York Times hailing Smith as "an intoxicating literary stylist." He has also written the film adaptations of two of his novels, Desperation Road and The Fighter, titled for the screen as Rumble Through the Dark. Chasing Rabbits is his directorial debut.
