We feel that students and local filmmakers in Hays County do not have the proper outlet to share their creations. The city of Austin, TX has a long standing history of film exhibitions, creating major draw to the area for filmmakers. We strive to build a similar community that serves as a stepping stone for success for student and auteur filmmakers in the San Marcos area. By creating the Mezzanine Film Festival, our mission is to keep film in the hands of creatives, give filmmakers the voice they deserve and prioritize Hays County Students in an industry dominated by corporations.

Audience Vote Awards and Prizes are currently in consideration!
