General Regulation
Article 1
Mestia International Short & Mountain Film Festival will be held fort he first time at the beginning of September in Mestia, Georgia to develop cultural exchange, popularization of cinematography, mutual understanding between nations, to enhance development cooperation and international partnership between Georgian and foreign filmmakers.

Article 2
The founder and organizer of Mestia International Short & Mountain Film Festival is the „Center of Art & Culture of Mestia“ and Film director and producer - Khatuna Khundaze, hereinafter the founders of Mestia International Short & Mountain Film Festival appoint Festival Director, plann the program for all films whether in competition or not -, select honorable guests and work out the Festival strategy

- Shorts Competition
- Mountain Films (Full-Length)
- Retrospective screening
Submission Deadlines
Article 4
Those willing to take part in Mestia International Short & Mountain Film Festival must submit the completed entry-form (Application) and film copy to the directorate, no later than 25th of July.
All films will be selected by the board of directors of the International Film Festival and the selection process will be completed by August 1 -. Only those films, which didn’t have public screening in Georgia will be allowed to participate in the Festival Program -. The film‘s screening program will be determined by the Directorate of Mestia International Short & Mountain Film Festival. Each and every film can be presented no more than 2 times, including 1 additional screening for the Media.-
Film format and timing
Article 5
The films completed maximum within 3 years prior to film festival can participate in the Festival competition (both Mountain and Short’s competition). There are 20 short ( feature and documentary and Animationa) and 5 Mountain-themed films participating in the competition section of the Festival.
Films participated in the competition must meet the following requirements:
- Short Films up to 40 mi utes
- Full-length films, which are 52 minutes or longer
- Format of screening – Digital version
Films presented at the Mestia International Short & Mountain Film Festival are screened in digital with English and Georgian subtitles.
All conditions and terms are strongly followed, if not, the Directorate of Mestia International Short & Mountain Film Festival reserves the right to exclude the film from the Festival Program.
Documentation
Article 6
The completed entry-form and film copy must be submitted to the Management of Mestia International Short & Mountain Film Festival no later than 25th of July.
The following documents have to be attached to the application: English subtitles, advertising and media materials, materials for catalogue (information about the film authors, their photos and the photo of the producer).
Films must be uploaded (with code) to any internet platform
Guests
Article 7
The Directorate of Mestia International Short & Mountain Film Festival decides on conditions and terms of inviting guests to the Festival. A maximum of 1 or 2 representatives of the film can be allowed to participate in the Festival Program. The Directorate of Mestia International Short & Mountain Film Festival commits to cover transportation and accommodation expenses for 2 representatives of the film in competition section of the Festival, as outlined above.
Jury
Article 8
Jury of Mestia International Short & Mountain Film Festival consists of 5 persons, from which a maximum of 2 persons can be from Georgia. The Directorate of the Festival commits to cover all kind of expenses related to the participation of each jury member (transportation, accommodation). No person, in any way involved in the production and/or commercial renting of films included in competition section, may be a part of the jury.
Article 9
Films presented at Mestia International Short & Mountain Film Festival are judged by a jury consisted of 5 persons, and the following prizes are established:
• International Mountain Film Competition - Mikheil Khergiani Prize.
• International Shorts Competition - Best Short Film
In both sections special prizes are set up:
• Best Composer
• Best Art Director
