Meral is a bilingual actress and director with extensive production experience. Based in the UAE, she is the first and only Iraqi female director Who is born and raised in Abu Dhabi, UAE, she has been passionate about cinema for over a decade. Starting as a producer in 2012, she later transitioned to acting in various accents and languages before moving into directing. An alumna of Arab Film Studios Imagenation, Meral directed the pilot short film Hidden History and the talk show Swalif with Miral, soon to relaunch as a podcast with added entertaining segment. Her career includes producing a groundbreaking Make-A-Wish UAE TV series, acting in Netflix films and Nayla Al Khaja's works, and campaigns like Vatika's The Dream and Canon Middle East Women Empowerment. Through her company, MeLe Films, she creates diverse projects, including commercials, films, and documentaries. Founded by the talented Meral Niazi A. Tamimi, Mele Films is a dynamic film production company celebrated for its innovative and compelling storytelling.
