Melissa has been obsessed with moving pictures ever since she was a little girl watching Judy Garland look wistfully to the sky and sing about rainbows and bluebirds.

A maker of both film and theatre, Melissa loves to collaborate with artists to craft stories that inspire, entertain and challenge audiences. She balances her time between writing, directing, acting and producing.

In addition to her Canadian Screen Award-winning performance in the digital series, Tactical Girls, Melissa has built a reputation as an actor for gripping performances in independent film, including the upcoming features Six Days to Die as well as Six Guns for Hire, which she also co-Directed with Director, Matt Campagna.

In January of 2022, Melissa directed her first feature film: Mother of All Shows, which she also co-wrote and stars in opposite Wendie Malick. She has worked on film and television properties distributed by eOne, Slice, WE Network, TUBI, Amazon Prime and HighballTV.

As the co-founder and Director of Development at HighballTV, Melissa has produced 4 feature films and two digital series, and is currently developing both feature and episodic projects with several artistic teams through the company.
