Director and writer Melchior Smit grew up near Rotterdam, Holland before he moved to London to launch his career in the film industry. After directing several shorts such as Symphony of Discord (2019) and Tethered (2020) he founded Paradigm Pictures, an independent production company based in London.

His films center around tackling social issues of representation, and questioning ethics and morality in society.
