Melanie Thompson is a writer, actor, director, former soccer player, pizza enthusiast, lover of Yorkshire Terriers and Star Wars fan (original trilogy, obviously). A native of the Washington DC area, Melanie graduated with a BFA in Acting from Emerson College before residing in Los Angeles. She has been featured in films, TV shows and commercials, but her passion is creating her own content. She loves telling slice of life stories about the need for human connection, often playing with heightened reality and metaphor in the process. Most recently she directed the comedy "Two Week's Notice" which was featured in 21 festivals and won awards for Best Comedy and Best Actress in a Short Film. When not working on films, Melanie can be found exploring national parks (mostly on Instagram, but increasingly more in real life), running on her bad knee against her doctor's advice, and beating her friends at every board game. Melanie is excited to continue to grow, experiment, and develop her style and point of view across different genres in storytelling.
