Meghan Colovos is an American Filmmaker and Writer. Her debut film, When The Rain Stopped, is an experimental short based on a poem she wrote which contains underlying themes of anxiety. Meghan is currently a film student at George Mason University.
I am looking to make films that shift the expectations of cinema, particularly within the experimental genre. My love of foreign cinema, especially older ones that focus more on experimental ideals/visuals and dark fairy tales, creates a space for me to bring a unique perspective to my films and has also helped me curate a unique visual experience for the audience as well. Although I often have strict visions, I am always open to change that can happen at any moment on set or in development. I believe this allows flexibility to enhance my films as I go. I like to be surprised and explore different avenues that I can take my films down.
