Meg Cook is a multimedia artist, animator, and educator. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University within the College of Performance, Visualization, and Fine Art. She received an MFA in Visualization from Texas A&M and BFA in Animation from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Her new work explores the interplay of textiles and animation through methodology, language, and materiality.
Cook’s stop-motion animated films have screened globally at film festivals such as London Short Film Festival, Ontario’s Best Short Fest, Dumbo Film Festival, Aurora Picture Show Extremely Shorts Film Festival, and more. Her film, UNSOLICITED, earned awards such as Best Animation at Continental Film Festival and Best Animated Film at Austin Micro Short Film Festival. Her newest film, A Quilt for Eadweard Muybridge, won Best Animation USA (1:00-5:00) from Couch Film Festival.
