    Meera Chaudhary is an independent documentary filmmaker and producer based in Delhi, India. She is passionate about capturing the essence of life's triumphs and challenges through storytelling. Her filmmaking career took flight in 2011, when she began working under renowned documentary filmmaker Shubhradeep Chakravorty. She served as a creative assistant on documentaries such as "After the Storm" and "Out of Court Settlement." In 2014, she co-directed the critically acclaimed feature-length documentary "En Dino Muzaffarnagar," which challenged the status quo and gained recognition as the first banned film under the present regime in India. In 2023, she completed the short film" 50 to 350," which is ready for release. As the director of New Stream Media, she has also produced five short films, 30 animation films, Photo stories, and more than 100 audio-visual works for well-known civil society organisations in India. Currently, her three feature-length documentaries are in production.
    Her documentaries tackle important socio-political issues such as communalism, environmental concerns, visual anthropology, and women's empowerment. Her films have received critical acclaim and have been featured at prestigious South Asian film festivals, including Kathmandu, IFFR Rotterdam, the Chennai International Shorts and Documentary Film Festival, the Festival of Social Justice, and Cinema of Resistance. Films produced by New Stream Media have also been screened at renowned institutions like Delhi University, Denver, USA, IITs, IIMs, MIT, Stanford University, Columbia University, the Geological Society of America, Denver, and the International Fair Trade Festival. She has been a selection jury for MISDFF 2022 & 2023 , CISDFF 2022 & E-NGO challenge.In addition to her filmmaking endeavours, Meera is sought after as a speaker and panellist at various national and International platforms and festivals, where she shares her insights and expertise. She also imparts her knowledge through guest lectures at esteemed educational institutions.
    The Independent documentaries of New Stream Media have been featured in popular National Dailies like the Hindustan Times, Times of India, The Hindu, The Indian Express, and The Wire. Her documentary work is cited in the book "Fly in the Curry: The Most Authentic Book on the History of Indian Documentary Production. 
    Other than filmmaking, she is interested in rescuing dogs and teaching kids from marginalised society.
