Maverick Knox is a director and producer from Bellevue, Nebraska. Between 2012-2016, Knox wrote the epic fantasy trilogy East Gate, drama/thriller novel Tabanni, and apocalyptic novel Tamarrud and self published through Amazon. In 2016 he created the feature length script for Tamarrud which was filmed in Nebraska (2017).
He went on to get his masters in fine arts from the University of Central Arkansas where he directed "The Chair", "Rook", and Tabanni adaptation "That's My Boy". In 2021 he directed his first TV pilot Son of Ares as well as family sci-fi short "Stay at Home Dad". He has had multiple films submitted and selected into various festivals.
Knox is an adjunct professor at Metropolitan Community College in Elkhorn, NE where he teaches film and journalism classes. In doing this, he puts students on the pipeline towards filmmaking careers and engagements with the Nebraska Film Association..
