Born and raised on the Southside of Chicago, Maurice Elrod; grew up an avid reader and storyteller. At an early age, his mom would often praise his work and told him that one day he would write a best selling novel.

Prior to starting his company, 46th & Lake Park Flicks, he earned his undergrad degree in Economics from Oberlin College. After graduating from Oberlin, he spent the last 15 years flourishing in a career in sports, entertainment and marketing…

During his spare time, his love for film improved drastically increased. He began screen writing as a hobby that quickly turned into a passion for creativity and storytelling.
