I’m an Armenian-Australian filmmaker, practice-based researcher, and cultural producer working across festival direction, screen programming, governance, and community partnerships. My work spans filmmaking, cultural event production, board service, and industry collaboration, with a focus on multicultural storytelling and mental health.
I am the Founder and Festival Director of the Multicultural Mental Health Film Festival (MMHFF), organised by the Mental Health Foundation Australia. In its third year, the festival was presented as part of ACMI’s New Voices in Australian Cinema program and has since grown into an international, volunteer-led platform for multicultural mental health storytelling. It has reached over 3 million people worldwide, showcased filmmakers from more than 35 countries, and celebrated 16 award-winning works.
Alongside this, I serve on the Board of Directors at Channel 31, contributing to the organisation’s strategic direction and supporting community-focused, diverse media. I’m committed to using film and television to advance representation, connection, and mental health advocacy, creating spaces where lived experience, cultural heritage, and marginalised voices are centred.
I am a multi-award-winning filmmaker and a Deakin University graduate with a Bachelor’s degree, an Honours degree, and a Master of Arts (Higher Degree by Research). My short films have screened nationally and internationally.
