Mr. Valents (née Matteo Valentini) was born on November 16, 1990, in Vignola, MO, Italy.
He is a versatile Italian actor, director, and screenwriter.
Having received his training at the E. Fabbri drama company in his hometown, Matteo embarked on a journey to London to further hone his skills in acting and filmmaking. He spent two years immersing himself in the craft, attending numerous film masterclasses and workshops.
After a couple of indie productions, in October 2019, Mr. Valents directed and starred in the comedy short "I Really Need to See a Good Doctor". Shortly after, he appeared alongside Veronica Osimani in the action-packed short film he penned, titled "A Movie Without an Ending" (2020).
In January 2020, Mr. Valents released his short comedy-experimental film "An Instant Story," which he both directed and performed in.
Continuing his creative journey, in October 2020, Mr. Valents wrote, directed, and starred in the dark comedy "The Social Doctor," a satirical take on social media.
April 2021 saw Mr. Valents diversifying his repertoire as he delved into the horror genre. He wrote, directed, and produced the micro-horror film "2:15," shot with a single-take style, which marked his debut in the horror genre.
In January 2022, Mr. Valents continued his exploration of horror by writing, directing, and producing his second horror short, "Ask Me A Question." This project, with a runtime exceeding 30 minutes is Mr. Valents's first long short.
In June 2023, Mr. Valents wrote, directed, and starred in the psychedelic dark comedy "Il Cazzo Che Ti Pare," a trippy film that showcases his surrealistic side and serves as his first venture into Italian-language cinema.
In January 2024, Mr. Valents released his first feature film “Sounds Like A Great Project!” (2024), an anthology film and an adventurous journey through the present and the future, exploring the effects of social media and the potential of AI in filmmaking spanning a variety of styles including comedy, horror, sci-fi and psychedelic.
