Matheus Mota is a Brazilian photography director and audiovisual director, born and raised in the east of São Paulo, in the City of Tiradentes.
His contact with the audiovisual began at the end of 2016, from the curiosity to explore computers and digital tools. Through a relative, he had contact with people who produced photography, video and music, starting to attend this creative environment and starting his trajectory in the audiovisual.
His first steps in the area were working as an assistant in independent productions. Over time, he began to develop his own projects, recording street programs inspired by television formats and making behind-the-scenes recordings of music videos. In this process, he also began to edit the materials and get more and more involved in the construction of the images.
Gradually, he began to take over the direction of some projects, including music videos in which he initially performed only the making of. It was during this period that his look at the image and composition began to stand out. Even without formally knowing the term, he already directed his work to what would later become his main area of expertise: photography direction.
Since then, Matheus has accumulated experience in productions of different formats, such as events, institutional projects and corporate content. Currently, he works mainly as a director of photography, working on documentaries, short films, music videos and institutional productions, always seeking to build images that reinforce the narrative and the atmosphere of the stories he tells.
