MATERIA BOSQUE VIII otorgará dos premios de 700 euros a obras audiovisuales que exploren la fuerza poética de los árboles y el bosque. Las obras ganadoras se exhibirán, además, en la octava edición de Materia Bosque que tendrá lugar en el Programa Abierto de RCR Arquitectes y en otros contextos de Cataluña y Navarra.
Se aceptan obras de videodanza, videoarte, ficción, documental o animación, con una duración de entre 1 y 10 minutos y de cualquier año de producción. Materia Bosque es un proyecto de RCR Fundación Bunka y LABEA - Laboratorio de Arte, Ciencia y Naturaleza.

FOREST MATTER VIII is an international cycle of audiovisual works that explores trees and forests poetics. It will award two works with €700 each to be exhibited during RCR Arquitectes Open Programme at the opening of RCR La Vila to the public —a place for interdisciplinary research where architecture, landscape, art, science, and thought converge, followed by other screenings in venues and festivals in Catalonia and Navarra.
A project by RCR Bunka Fundació conceived as a living, ever-evolving laboratory to generate sensory and reflective experiences, cocreated with LABEA – Laboratory of Art, Science and Nature to foster dialogues and encounters on the path towards ecosocial transition.
Curated by Lívia Diniz with LABEA’s team, these cycles invite multiple perspectives and ways of understanding and relating to one another. Since 2019, over 50 audiovisual works from around the world have been presented : Instituto Cervantes; Arbola Festival (Navarre), Eima Festival (Mallorca), La Pinochera (Canary Islands), and Be Festival (United Kingdom).
All formats of audiovisual works, from 1 to 10 minutes are accepted— video dance, video art, video performance, short fiction, animation, experimental films and documentaries addressing Forest Matter: forest atmosphere, trees, forest bodies.
Open to all, free of charge, works that have been previously screened or distributed are eligible.

Una plataforma que promueve el diálogo entre disciplinas artísticas, científicas y medioambientales para generar nuevas formas de entender y relacionarnos en el camino hacia una transición ecosocial. Entre sus programas principales está el Festival Arbola, dedicado a la cultura arbórea y vegetal y Plantadanía, que reúne acciones creativas de naturalización urbana.
