Matanza Reel Festival is a film festival that promotes the audiovisual heritage of the largest district in the province of Buenos Aires, La Matanza. With the aim of sharing stories that highlight the creativity, experiences, and vision of the region’s inhabitants, as well as fostering the screening of international works to broaden the audience’s horizons and enrich the event.

MARFEST is a winning project of the first plan to promote Buenos Aires audiovisual production in the category Regional Film Festival that promotes development of audiovisual production province throughout its value chain and declares to the industry as a productive activity transformation, of public interest and with value
strategic.

This regional, cultural, and cinematic event, held in December, both virtually and in person, represents both the classic and the modern. That’s why the festival’s sections showcase typical formats as well as formats that show actions that even go viral. We understand that in various ways, we are shaped by the audiovisual, and our present and future include a cinema in which everyone is a part.

Producers and directors whose work is selected authorize MARFEST to disseminate the name, images, and information of the film, as well as its technical and artistic team, and authorize the use of a maximum of three minutes of their film for audiovisual media and spots as part of the Matanza International Film Festival’s program.

The submission of works includes acceptance of these terms and conditions.
