Martina Mele was born in Ferrara on July 7, 1997.
In 2016 she graduated from Liceo Artistico Dosso Dossi in Ferrara.
In 2019 she graduated in Disciplines of the Figurative Arts, Music, Entertainment and Fashion at the University of Bologna with a thesis on North American Cinema entitled ‘’La pittura cinematografica di David Lynch: Eraserhead e i Primi Cortometraggi’’.
In 2019 she co-founded DestinationFilm – APS, an association that deals with the promotion of cinema and theater.
She has written and directed some short films, including “Rapacità” (2024) co-produced with KublaiFilm and Eclettica, “Das Meer” (2023) selected at the 29th edition of Visioni Italiane and the Linz International Short Film Festival 2023, and “So(g)no” (2022).
She directed “To Exist – Nude Version” (2022), the music video for the artist and photographer SIERMOND.
She has produced and co-written the short film “Agosto in Pelliccia” (2022) by Alessandro Rocca, winner of the Best Director Award at Visioni Italiane 2022.
She played the role of assistant set designer in the feature film '100 Preludi' (2024) by Alessandra Pescetta produced by Revok Film and Rai cinema, a project supported by the Emilia-Romagna Film Commission. She worked as set designer in the short film “Majonezë” (2024) by Giulia Grandinetti.
She works as filmmaker and as production designer and set designer for films and music video.
She is currently in the works with her upcoming short film “Il Tarabuso Variopinto”..
