I write in the horror genre although I prefer to use the term fright genre as the object is to frighten the audience, not horrify.

An ex prison officer and author of the books 'The Trapdoor to Murder', 'Halloween's Best Cellar', 'Beasties and other stories' short story collections available on Amazon. Martin won a short screenplay competition in 2007 with 'Life gets you down', the finished film premiered at the Edinburgh Film Festival which gave him the screen writing bug and many other awards followed.

His very first screenplay 'Life gets you down' was made into a short film that premiered at the Edinburgh Film Festival 2007. His second script, a feature length prison drama, 'Mindscrew', reached the finals of The Golden List Awards.
