Marteverick D. Shears is a Memphis born director, writer, and founder of Pressed Out Media Group.
Before pursuing filmmaking full time, Marteverick served 7 years in the U.S. Navy, where he taught himself how to shoot, edit, and color grade in between deployments. He later earned his degree in Film Production & Cinematography from The Los Angeles Film School.
His first official short film, The Only Fan, was made while still in film school and went on to win Best Film at the school’s Golden Thesis Awards. His follow-up project, Room Service, is an intimate drama about love, sobriety, and emotional release, currently on the festival circuit and being submitted for world premiere consideration.
Through his company, Pressed Out Media Group, Marteverick directs narrative films, branded content, and client visuals, all with a clear voice and a deep respect for craft. His work often focuses on identity, emotional vulnerability, and the stories we hide behind closed doors.
He’s currently in development on his next short film, Therapy Session, and focused on continuing to grow as both an artist and a storyteller.
