We’re looking for the very best adventure films to feature at our 2026 event — three nights of inspiring stories, adrenaline, and human spirit, played to an audience of around 250 adventure-loving locals.

Every penny raised this year went directly to the local Scout group, helping local kids have adventures of their own.

We screen over two hours of adventure films, from short, punchy 2-minute clips to powerful 45-minute stories (longer films are welcome if they can be edited down). Our audience loves variety — from fell running and ParkRun challenges to skiing, diving, bobsleighing, swimming under ice, mountain biking, skydiving, and more.

What really stands out, though, are films that focus on people — human stories of courage, creativity, and connection. Last year, Jasmin Paris’s The Finisher took home our People’s Favourite Award for exactly that reason.

We especially love adventures that feel achievable and relatable — the kind that make our audience think, “Maybe I could do that.” Our goal is simple: to inspire real people to get out there and start their own adventures. Even better if they are local.

If your film can do that — we’d love to see it.

We screen the same shows each night, starting with an invited audience of c. 50 Scouts, Explorers, Guides and Rangers for a thorough technical run through, before playing to c. 100 people on each of the Friday and Saturday nights, with local craft ale and hot food available, and a really friendly atmosphere.

We award two special prizes: a ‘Judge’s Favourite’, chosen by our panel of local adventurers, and a ‘People’s Favourite’, voted for by the audience at the end of the night.

Must be your own original content that you have the copyright to, and will allow us to screen at the event.
