Writer and Director Mark Velasquez was born and raised in Santa Maria, California and received his BFA from Cornish College in 2000. Since then he has worked as a freelance photographer across Europe and the Americas shooting for publications, creating his own magazine series and photo books, and documenting his travels while sharing his creative energy along the way.

Mark is a teacher, painter, sculptor, videographer, and graphic designer. Most importantly, he is a husband and family man simply trying to do his best. Today he can be found somewhere on the West Coast, camera in hand, mind reeling.
