Decorated Polar Explorer, Award-Winning Filmmaker, Acclaimed Scholar in Documentary Film Theory
Mark Terry has been making documentary films since the 1990s. He focuses his lens on environmental issues on a global scale and has recently completed his trilogy of documentaries examining the impacts of climate change on the polar regions: The Antarctica Challenge: A Global Warning, The Polar Explorer, The Changing Face of Iceland. As a professor at York University in Toronto, Canada, he teaches on the subject of how film can be used as a communications tool for the United Nations to help inform and influence environmental policy at its annual climate summits.
