Mark Scheinbaum, an EdD student in the Organizational Leadership track, defended his dissertation in Dec.2023. His research targets the motivation for first-generation college graduates from historically marginalized communities (HMCs) to apply to graduate and professional schools. He is Managing Director of Shearson Financial Services (where he also served as an arbitrator, arbitration chair, and mediator for FINRA/NYSE), teaches Media and International Relations, and Authoritarians and Democrats, at the Steven J. Green School of International and Public Affairs, at Florida International University in Miami. Previously Mark served as a board member of the American Society of Panama and a UPI newsman and broadcast journalist. With more than three decades as a member, officer, and certified trainer for Kiwanis International, he remains active with diverse community and scholarship programs in Florida and is a past president of Club Kiwanis Canal de Panama.
