Mark is a veteran of the film industry with more than 24 years’ experience working globally as a senior consultant for Dolby on over 600+ feature films. Mark's worked with many of the major film distributors, world-class studios and festivals, supporting filmmakers worldwide.
He's Co-founder, CEO and producer passionately committed to ensuring Bad Blood Films is a powerhouse within independent film, encouraging international partnerships whilst nurturing existing relationships, prioritising quality and innovation, creating a sustainable and profitable studio model, creating opportunity and diversity for our up and coming talent to tell engaging stories that shape the next decade of indie films within the horror and thriller genre.
Mark's debut feature film Sacrilege (2020) secured a 43-screen, self-distributed, theatrical release across the UK/Ireland (pre-covid 6/3/20), pulling together an international team to produce a high quality, SMPTE 4K/Dolby Atmos DCP for a world premiere at the Empire Leicester Square's Super-Screen for over 300+ VIPs, whilst running a digital marketing campaign and securing international sales representation announced at Cannes 2020. Secured sales in 16 territories including a full home entertainment release in US/Canada securing DVD release into Walmart 16 March 2021. Sacrilege has secured a U.K. digital release across all platforms including Sky Store and Amazon Prime 27 September and has been nominated for the prestigious RTS West of England Awards for best Composer/VFX.
Sacrilege has been officially selected into 9 international film festivals, winning best concept in India, best female cinematography in Toronto and Outstanding Excellence in the USA.
Mark has secured international sales agents for his next feature ‘The Rippers Ghost’ at Film London’s ‘Production Finance Market’ and has pre-sold to 4 territories including the U.K. at Berlinale 2021. He is developing a slate of 16 features and is active in film schools in the U.K., Norway and Estonia and has been on the jury of the SMPTE-HPA Student Film Awards.
Mark is a triathlete and an ultra runner. In 2016 Mark ran 3 marathons and a 100 uktra marathon raising money for Cancer Research U.K. in 2018 he became an Ironman and in 2020 cycled the length of the U.K. raising money for the mental health charity MIND. In 2021 he ran the Cotswolds Way 100km raising money for Altzeihmers.
