Maria Brenda Acopiado is an acclaimed Director, Screenwriter, Producer, and Actress who founded Zatori Films, an independent production company in Chicago that focuses on diverse, primarily Asian-American women filmmakers.

Maria’s journey from the Philippines to the US, marked by overcoming challenges and adversity, has shaped her into a resilient individual. Her short films have gained global recognition and overwhelming awards in film festivals.

Besides her creative pursuits, Maria is a driving force behind the No Small Potatoes Foundation, a newly formed non-profit organization (501c3) that promotes mental health awareness in underserved communities.
