Marcus W. Albino is a Writer, Director, and Producer known for “Prophecy,” “The Bomb Party,” “American Grace,” “The Simple Art of Murder,” and “Black Maria.” With nearly two decades of experience as a Writer/Director, Marcus Albino created dozens of short films, concert and music videos, as well as feature/episodic content. Over the past ten years, Marcus has worked professionally as a photographer, bartender, daytrader, research apprentice, farm hand, and legal investigator, traveling across 15 countries and half the United States while graduating with a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California - Berkeley. In 2014, Marcus was selected to the Second Round of the Sundance Screenwriter's Lab for his work on the noir "Phil Spector Isn't Dead Yet." He has received over twenty-five Official Selections and various commendations at film festivals around the world, including the Dances With Films Festival (Audience Award), Rome Independent Film Awards (Best Music Video), Richmond International, Woods Hole, North Hollywood CineFest, and Oaxaca FilmFest X. In 2021, Marcus Albino and Barbara Estelle DeJesus were selected to the Stowe Story Narrative Development Lab for their work on "Black Maria." Currently, Marcus serves as co-founder and CFO at Cloak & Cauldron Films, and is completing his 1L at UC Law of San Francisco.
