I, Marco Jacobs, am a Screenwriter, Director and Producer in Cape Town, South Africa. Originally coming from a theatre background, I gained a fascination with avant-garde, horror storytelling. I decided to propel my career in film by completing a BA in Film and Media Production at the University of Cape Town. Throughout my studies, I have become interested in subversive genre-bending movies and I hope to use my talents to contribute an array of experimental horror films to the South African film landscape. Currently, I am producing a socio-political horror film titled “Sknndhead” that will be distributed to festivals in 2024. I will also complete my BA Honours in Motion Picture Production at the AFDA campus in Cape Town.
