Marc A. Gallo, an award-winning music and film producer, has produced numerous projects over a span of 35 years. Currently, he's producing and performing in Gallospole, a political satire featuring music and animation.
Well I arrived on May 20, 1964 at Cooper Hospital in Camden, NJ. The 4th and final child of Anthony and Marianne Gallo, we resided in Pennsauken, NJ along with my three older brothers. My father was an administrator at Parkview Hospital in Philadelphia and my mother was a devoted housewife.
In August 1972, my father passed away from lung cancer. This forced my mother to seek employment to provide for her four sons. Over the years, she became a successful property manager at condominiums located throughout the Delaware Valley. Consequently, the demand for her services resulted in us moving frequently. During my high school years, I attended four different schools. With lots of time on my hands, I learned how to play guitar and developed a passion for music.
I enrolled at Temple University in 1982, majoring in audio production. Here, I started Bag with Patrick Callen, a vaudevillian rock group performing throughout Philadelphia and NYC. At the same time, Cine-Club was formed with Dan McKay and Jim Sempsey III showcasing talent from a wide variety of artistic disciplines including poets, comedians, filmmakers, musicians, bands and others at venues throughout the Philadelphia area.
Having little desire living the life of a vagabond, I became a successful salesman in the wireless industry and started my first company, CCI in 1989. Achieving steady growth and acquiring sufficient capital, I built my first recording facility, Great Egg Studio, affirming my commitment and passion for music.
Great Egg Studio launched several music projects including no1uno and Alon as well as provided professional voice recordings to companies throughout the Delaware Valley. This latter development led to Mind The Gap in 2004, my company specializing in creative sound works.
Mind The Gap continues its growth nationwide and added a recording room for Great Egg Studio, which recently produced Gallospole, a multimedia project incorporating music and animation.
Finally, my commitment moving forward is to share ideas about music and business with my peers and our younger generation as well as continue to take risks.
Dare to be different. Dare to take a chance…for routine has no lesson to tell.
Today, I live in Drexel Hill, PA with my wife Andrea and our twin boys, Aidan and Ethan.
