Manuel Trotta is a versatile artist with a rich background in acting and filmmaking. He wrote, directed, and acted in the acclaimed short film "EL ASTRONAUTA," which resonated with critics and audiences alike. This project was picked up by HBO and earned an Oscar qualification for Best Narrative Short in 2019, winning 13 awards across 31 film festivals.

Manuel's upcoming film, "LA PIÑATA DE MARCEL," continues his exploration of intimate storytelling, focusing on two main characters in a 1980s coming-of-age narrative. The screenplay was a semifinalist in both the McDonald's Spotlight Dorado and Guillermo Arriaga's Angular film competitions and is slated for a festival run in 2024.

He holds an MFA from the prestigious American Film Institute (AFI), a Directing Certificate from UCLA Extension, and a Journalism degree from the Central University of Venezuela (UCV). Manuel has also studied theater with top instructors in Latin America, further honing his craft and artistic vision.
