After a first life in the world of contemporary art, Manuel Hanot resumed film studies at the Agnes Varda school in Brussels. In parallel with these studies, he directed associative films with teenagers for the Brussels Video Centre, which were shown in several festivals and television programmes. As an extension of these meetings, questions of emancipation and margins nourish his work. He explores these themathics in a decadent baroque staging by directing En Roues Libres, which is his graduation film.
