Manfred Rott, is a Paris based filmmaker.
Born in Hall in Tirol (Austria), he shot little movies at his Super 8 camera already when he was 12.
Later, he studied International Business and first worked as marketing manager in new media in Vienna and Paris.
In Paris, he discovered his passion for filmmaking. He then studied at Prague's prestigous film school FAMU in 2005/06.
His short film Utopies, shot on 16 mm with a 1950's Bolex camera, has won two prices for Best Short Film and was selected at numerous international festivals.
He has written a feature-length screenplay. In 2017 he finished "Woman at the Window" and he is currently working on a documentary about gay asylum seekers in Paris.
