Malini Raman-Middleton is an actor and filmmaker living in Catford, southeast London. She studied film and media production at the Brit School, and is now studying the Production pathway at London Screen Academy. She is also a fellow of the Ghetto Film school, set to graduate in 2025.
Growing up in a mixed Hindu and Jewish heritage family in a culturally and economically diverse part of London, she uses film to explore identity, belonging and social justice. She wrote and directed ‘Killing Time’ which was a semi-finalist in the Children's Cinema Awards. Her short film 'Jhumki' is set to screen at the UK Asian Film Festival. She is currently working on a comedy short called ‘Period Drama’, and is set to direct a short film in Vancouver in summer 2024.
