Malabar is the northern Kerala land of Southern India. We live to love the Feasts (All kinds of Foods & Beverages) and Fests (Cultural, Art & Film Festivals). Our hospitality towards guests and expertise in hosting the festivals are very well known.

Film fields mainly depends on fictional stories. But documentaries are non fictional films, and is defined as a film or television program that is educational and tells a true story. Which are intended to "document reality, primarily for the purposes of instruction, education, or maintaining a historical record"

So this time Malabar Festivals Team directing an exclusive international festival only for Documentary Films "Malabar International DocuFest"

Applications for this festival will start receiving from 11th Feb 2022. And the festival will happen in Feb-2023. It will be a two days program.

Festival dates: 09-Feb-2023 & 10-Feb-2023

The first day will start with a round table discussion about “Relation between Culture & Arts and its importance in the current world”, and the day will end up with completing the screening of officially selected Documentaries for the final round Film competition.

The final day will start with the screening of officially selected Documentaries for the final round Film competition, and the day will end up announcing the award winners.

All official Selections will receive Official Selection Laurels.
Award Winners will receive Official/Digital Certificates and Laurels.

Individual/crew awards will be selected separately from each main award categories. So the chance of getting recognized for your project is high at this festival.

✓ No restriction for the completion date of your films.
✓ Any genre films can be submitted.
✓ All films must be submitted in English or with Onscreen English subtitles (if in a different language).
✓ Films from Kerala with Malayalam language are exempted for English subtitles.
✓ No limit or restriction for the duration of the films/videos.
✓ Filmmakers are responsible for sorting out the copyright on their own materials.
✓ Films streamed/released online and/or available on OTT/television platforms also can be submitted.
✓ We may promote clips/posters from your film on social media, based on the press kits you provide us with.
✓ We retain the right to change the date and timing of the festival under special circumstances.
✓ We place no restrictions on your work in terms of premiere status or whether your work has been made available online.
✓ Any technical issues with the submitted films are 100% the responsibility of the filmmakers. If, at the time of judging, your video file doesn’t work or doesn’t have English subtitles (if in a language other than English), it will be automatically rejected, without a refund. Please contact the festival team ASAP if there are any issues with the submission process, and a solution will be found.
✓ We cannot provide refunds.
✓ If you have submitted your project in the previous year, you can resubmit the same project to current edition. But will have less precedence.
✓ By submitting to us you agree to our terms and conditions and to receiving marketing newsletters and discounts about film festivals in the form of emails. We will never sell your information to third parties.

✓ No pornography. Explicit sexual or extreme nude content will result in disqualification.
